How We Pick: The Even Keel Selection Method
July 10, 2026
Not every affordable accessory is worth your money. Here is the exact process we use to find the ones that are.
Most dropshipping stores are built on one principle: find the cheapest item and list it. We are built on a different one: find the item that earns its price, then list it.
The problem with the cheap approach
You already know it. You have ordered something from Temu or Shein and watched it fall apart, fade, or arrive completely different from the photo. That experience costs you money and time, and it makes you distrust every unfamiliar brand.
We started Even Keel because we were tired of that experience ourselves.
The three filters we use
1. Performance data first. Before we list anything, we look at what is actually selling and what buyers are saying about it across multiple platforms. Not just the star rating — the written reviews, the return complaints, the photos people post after the third wash. If a product looks great in the listing but generates quality returns, it does not pass.
2. The in-hand test. We order samples of every product we consider. If we would not wear it ourselves, it does not go in the catalog.
3. Under $25, no exceptions. This is a hard cap. The goal is to give you something that looks like it costs more. That is only meaningful if the price stays honest.
What this means for you
Every product in this store has cleared all three filters. We do not list 400 items and hope you find something. We list the ones we would actually recommend to a friend.
That is the even keel: not the cheapest option, not the most expensive. The one worth it.
